We went for a tour of the Bellingham Palace in central China, the palace that once held the highest ranking Chinese official.

The interior of the palace, located at the heart of the city of Qinghai, has been converted into a luxury hotel and spa, and was recently decorated in a stunning purple hue.

The palace’s former king, Li Xiu, once lived there, and many of his courtiers, including the then queen, the Empress Dowager, were guests.

There is also a grand ballroom where he and other dignitaries could enjoy a romantic evening with guests.

It is the largest ballroom in the world, and has an amazing view of the surrounding mountains.
